Back to Holiness

Throughout Scripture, the Children of God are called to be holy, but what does that mean? Verses on Holiness

³Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, ⁴even as he chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him.
Ephesians 1:3-4

¹⁹So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, ²⁰built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, ²¹in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. ²²In Him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.

God doesn’t just expect us to dress ‘holy’ but to act holy. He expects us to live a holy life. God doesn’t just expect it of us either. Instead, God died for our sins and washed us clean in the cleansing power of His blood so that we could be brought back to holiness as He intended for us to be from the beginning.

LORD Where Are You?

When things go wrong, one of our first responses is, ‘Where is God?’ How could God allow bad things to happen to us? How could He sit by and watch while we suffer? Does God even care? All of these questions have crossed each and every one of our minds at least once in our lives. It’s our human nature. Does God Care?

As Christians, when we talk about our enemy, we think about one being, Satan or the Devil. An invisible being that many Christians no longer even believe in, but instead feel as though he was more of a symbol of evil. But are these two main beliefs true? Is there only one enemy? He Promised You A Rose Garden

Others may not promise you a rose garden, but Jesus did. This is a promise of God. He promised the good and the bad so that you can grow. A rose can’t grow unless it rains every now and then. Song of Solomon 2:1-3

God didn’t promise that it would always be sunshine, but He did promise you a rose garden. He promised that when rain and muck came, He would help you to grow.

¹ Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. ²Through Him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. ³Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, ⁴and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, ⁵and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

This is a promise of God, that we might be strengthened and grow because of our struggles. Tribulation, pain, suffering, none of that will weaken us because when we are weak, then He is strong.
