Fear Makes You Second-Guess Your Calling

10 But Moses said to the Lord, ‘Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue.’ 11 Then the Lord said to him, ‘Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the Lord? 12 Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.’ 13 But he said, ‘Oh, my Lord, please send someone else.’” ~ Exodus 4:10-13

God just spoke to Moses, personally. He told him exactly what he would do, but Fear showed Moses everything that he wasn’t. Fear showed him all of his flaws. Moses couldn’t see his call because of fear. Even though God told him he would be with him, Moses couldn’t see it.

God said He would teach him to speak, but Moses couldn’t see past his flaws. He couldn’t see anything except what fear was showing him. Fear makes you doubt the call on your life. God told him He would be with him, and He would help him, but Fear made him doubt. Fear tried to take his call. Don’t look at everything you’re not; look at everything God says you are.

Peace. Love. Go Forth and Go Towards Your Call.
